For most families, finding quality care for a loved one can be a daunting task, especially if the desire is to have the family member stay in his or her own home. The support needed may require assistance with tasks as simple as housekeeping chores and daily living activities to more advanced home health care through skilled clinicians as a result of a recent hospital stay or declining health due to chronic illness.

According to reports by the Area Agency on Aging, the population of seniors aged 65 and older numbered roughly 40.4 million in 2010, representing 13.1% of the U.S. population. In addition, the average life expectancy of a person reaching the age of 65 is an additional 18.6 years (20.0 years for females and 17.3 years for males).

Projections show that by the year 2050, the estimated population for seniors aged 65 and over will top 87 million. While these statistics are encouraging in that we are living longer, often times children of aging parents find themselves in the quandary of raising their own children and attempting to care for their parents at the same time.

At LifeSpring, our goal is to provide quality care to seniors allowing them the benefit of the comfort of their own home and much-needed resources to families in communities across the country. For us, no job is too small. No task too great. No extra-mile, no above or beyond. It is just what we do. It is simply who we are.
